Shawnta Jackson MPH

Founder & Chief Executive Associate

Since establishing CEA in 2015, Shawnta has collaborated with organizational leaders and teams across the U.S. to drive positive social impact through innovative strategies in stakeholder and community engagement, research, and evaluation.


Throughout her career, Shawnta has utilized her expertise to support a diverse range of initiatives and clients, including multi-year federally funded projects, health system place-based initiatives, statewide and national associations, local and statewide coalitions, and social justice and equity initiatives. Her extensive portfolio includes collaborations with renowned organizations such as CVS Health, Maryland Nonprofits, Kaiser Permanente, and North Carolina A&T State University.


Shawnta's commitment to advancing social change is evident in her consultancy work, where she provides comprehensive support to boards, committees, and leaders in developing and implementing organizational, programmatic, and engagement strategies. Her strategic guidance encompasses full planning support, capacity building, and technical assistance, aimed at maximizing the effectiveness and sustainability of social impact initiatives.


Shawnta holds a Master of Public Health degree in social and behavioral health from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in public relations from Columbia College Chicago. She is also the author of two self-help books. Shawnta resides in the Washington-Baltimore metropolitan area with her son, Zachary.
